About the DRLRL
The Disciplined Reading and Learning Research Lab (DRLRL) is dedicated to the study of psychology in teaching and learning. Under the guidance of Patricia A. Alexander, the lab supports the research programs of Dr. Alexander and her team of graduate students.
Such research programs include the study of reading, relational reasoning, multiple source use, language development, and prior knowledge activation. The DRLRL is also dedicated to the development of culture-fair assessments. The lab is an evolving learning environment that allows students to exchange ideas and conduct original empirical research.
